Can I Do Orientation Online this Summer/Fall?

Im planning on being in china till august, teaching abroad and am wondering if I can do my orientation online for the UC school of my choice that I get accepted to.

I'm a CCC, and have applied to UCLA, Berkeley, San Diego and Irvine.

So far, I know Berkeley will allow me to do the orientation online, so long as when the time comes in the summer in the SIR, to jot down why I can't be present for the orientation and show them proof I'm outta the country.

Currently I'm not too sure about UCLA, but I do plan on giving them a call later on today in the morning.

Irvine, I'm confused as well and have sent them an email at their orientation email, waiting for a reply.

As for San Diego, this is the one school I simply have no clue about, which is the reason primarily why I decided to start the thread.

I think after you’re admitted these campuses will address those questions. I wouldn’t worry too much about that now and I’m sure every UC has accommodations for students that are not in the country at the time of their orientations.
