Does anyone know which UCs accept/don't accept summer classes [taken at our current CCC] before fall enrollment? Or if they do accept them, will they take classes towards the major or only those towards breadth (if at all)?

I can't seem to find the link for the UC list/UC colleges that has this information, so any help you guys can give me would be great. Thanks!

I'm almost sure all UCs would accept summer classes at CCC before fall enrollment. I can't imagine a reason why they wouldn't - if that were the case, then why do we even have to go to school for that last Spring term before fall enrollment?

As for the submission of the transcript from our CCC to our UC, timing may be a bit tricky... you know what, don't listen to me. i can hardly keep my eyes open and am not thinking straight.

i think it depends on what courses.
Becuase i have that dilemma...for UCLA, i must complete accounting 1b before i go there...but i can only do it in the summer. I asked the counselor if i should have taken it this sem, but he said its better to finish my IGETC this sem, and take that course in the summer.

I know that for UCLA, they don't want you to take classes that count for your lower divisions and igetc to be taken anytime after the spring before you enroll. I dont think it's this strict at other schools, however.

I have no idea either, but a friend of mine (who goes to UCI) is taking a few of her breadth requirements at my CC and says that once you've been admitted to UCI, you can only go to cc for breadth courses, not major-related ones. However, she's not a transfer student so I was just wondering what the restrictions are for us. Also, this conversation took place about a little over a year and a half ago.

I know for a fact that santa cruz has on their transfer criteria that they require all 60 units to be done in the spring. Davis also notes that they give priority in admissions to those who will have completed units by spring. How ever seeing as how most Ucs wont be having winter admissions next year so you might be okay. all you can really do at this point is do what we all do which is check the mail box nine times a day

oh yes and the MOST important thing. if you are going to take classes in the summer make sure they are accelerated and end well before JULY 15Th. by july 15th the UC campus of your choice must have document from your school stating that you are in "good standing".
