I got into UC Davis and it is my #1 choice but I still have 4 weeks to go in the current semester. While my grades are all solid and I should have no problem passing with A-B grades, I am a bit nervous since my finals seem to be even more heavily weighted this semester. If I have an off day during finals it could sink my admission to UC Davis.
I was also admitted to SJSU, but their deadline for the SIR is May 1st (weeks before final). If I were to lose admission to UC Davis, I would not know until it was too late. The non refundable fee is $70 and I feel I should do it just for the peace of mind that I’ll be able to transfer since SJSU is a little more relaxed on my major requirements.
Has anyone else done this? Will giving SIR to one school somehow notify other schools? Just want to make sure I wasn’t walking into a strange problem.
