Can I edit my common app and send it to schools after it is submitted?

I am going into sheer panic mode. I do not know what I was thinking when I wrote in the hours/week for my activities on my common app. I way overestimated them and it just seems to unrealistic to have 50 hours a week of extracurricular activities...impossible, right? I need to edit this and while I submitted the majority of my applications for early action, 3 of my top schools are regular decision. While I have submitted all of my materials, is there anyway I can edit my common app so those 3 schools can see my actual number of hours per week?

I think the OP meant 50 hours combined from all of their ec’s, not 50 hours for each.

Yes, I understand that it is completely impossible. But is it acceptable to send a letter to my regional admission counselor editing this mistake?

MathisAmazing, yes that is what I meant.

I have a 3.9 GPA and my EC’s are not all that I do… I wrote a letter of correction that I will have my guidance counselor look over Monday for me to send. I just hope pointing out my error does not harm my chances of admission, but then again I am doing the honest thing.

Why does 50 hours total seem impossible? Ever hear of weekends? Sometimes I spend 20 hours on a single EC over a weekend.

Have you tried to pull up your Comm App and see if you can edit it? I think you will find you can.

Yes I know, it is just that I do not know how particular these colleges are because while being student government president is 10 hours a week on some occasions depending on the activities for that week, some weeks it is only an hour.

SoCalDad2, I was able to edit it on the Common App but unfortunately after the application is submitted to a college it cannot be resubmitted through Common App with the edits.
