I filled it out once and got the confirmation email in my inbox, but my school never got around to checking it off on their portal site.
I feel like I should try to redo the form online and send it again because when I called financial aid, they were no help and keep saying “oh just wait a couple of days” when I did this over a month ago.
If the feds confirmed with you that it was completed, filling it out again would just create a 2nd MPN and thus complicate things further. This sounds like a communication issue between the government and your school, not that the MPN is incomplete.
Your school can check the COD database on their end to confirm that you have completed the MPN and then upload it in their individual database. Completing the MPN again won’t complicate anything, but it is a waste of your time if you have in fact done the correct MPN. Call your school and ask them to confirm you have completed it.
My daughter’s school last year took a long time to confirm the MPN. They even put up a notice letting the kids know that the MPN would show as incomplete until financial aid was disbursed and not to worry as long as they’d submitted it.
