Have you looked on their web sites? See if the two are in different colleges. Then see what each takes for a degree. Alternatively you can send an EMail to the business school at each to ask.
At universities which have separate colleges for business and liberal arts, a double major in a business major (such as finance, accounting etc.) and econ will require meeting the graduation requirements for two distinct colleges. That can be a challenge, depending on distribution requirements and credit requirements at a specific university. On the other hand, at a school which does not have separate colleges within it but does offer a business major, a double major in business and econ is just like any other double major. Off the top of my head, Michigan, Indiana Illinois, Maryland, Carnegie Mellon, and Santa Clara all have separate colleges of business and of liberal arts types programs. Babson is very different from those in that it only offers an integrated business and liberal arts education rather than, as best I understand it, pure liberal arts.
You can get a dual degree Business/Econ degree at UMich, but you would have to be admitted into Ross as your “home school” in order to get the business portion of the degree. And that’s not “a walk in the park” as they say.
Babson is a standalone Business school. Liberal Arts courses will be integrated into your curriculum. Reputation as the #1 college for entrepreneurship.
