Can I get a job in Marketing/Advertising with an Economics degree?

I’m planning to major in Economics (tentatively) at UC Berkeley because I am interested in the social sciences/more liberal artsy aspect of the major, along with analyzing data and interpreting trends in the business world. I would however also like to pursue some of my artistic interests, not by actually learning how to design or create through a formal arts education, but by surrounding myself in a creative environment where I can work on a diverse number of projects as possibly an account planner or something like a strategy planner. Therefore I am considering a career in advertising or marketing, but I do not know if this feasible with an economics degree, or if the skills I gain from this particular major would be applicable to this type of job? Berkeley doesn’t offer advertising or marketing majors, only Haas, which I plan not to apply to. I know that the key to getting a job would be through internships, clubs, and overall experience. Would I be able to pull this off and get a high-paying job, and am I heading down the right path with my current interests? Thanks so much for your help.
