Can I get in as a transfer student with one year?

This may be a long shot because I know a lot of people on here are Seniors looking to attend UD but I was wondering if there any previous or future transfer students on here?
I have applied to UD for the fall of 2015 as a transfer student and after my semester I will complete 30 credits. I know UD states they prefer 60 credits before attempting to transfer but does anyone know how much emphasis they put on HS grades with one year completed? I will have around a 3.45-3.5 GPA after this semester. and I’m OOS at a great Jersey CC. If anyone has transferred or is transferring and wouldn’t mind sharing your stats with me so I can have a range as to where I fall. I also have two jobs, many clubs, and I hold a leadership position in one of my clubs. My dad and grandpa are also Alums of the school (not sure if they consider that) I would really appreciate anyone willing to share information with me!

Im a potential transfer student applying for fall 2015 who is currently at an NJ CC as well. my gpa and stats are around the same as yours the only difference is I’m in my second year and have/will acquire 60 credits by may. My only advice is to check the website. Usually there are restrictions depending on your intended major, so I would look at the major requirements for transfers here: http://www.udel.edu/admissions/pdf/Fall%202015%20TransferGuidelines.pdf Most of them don’t say anything about credit requirements though. My suggestion is to stick with the CC you’re in for another year and then apply. You’ll save money and it will be much easier for you to transfer. Good luck with whatever you choose though!

I’m a transfer student going into the languages department. My GPA is 3.01 and I’m currently doing a year long study abroad so I’m hoping my stats can get a boost there. I think I’ve got just under 60 credits and my GPA in my major (though it wont be my major there) is around a 3.6 I believe. I’ve never been in any clubs but I’ve been in University ensembles for two years total. My current Uni doesn’t offer the major I want so I have to transfer or come back to Missouri and tough it out in the music program (which is the last thing I want)

So yeah, I think overall you will be fine. They may prefer you having more credits but if you are an excellent students with some fine extracurricular credentials, it should be ok. Good luck to you!

@joejo007 I have already applied so I am hoping for the best… and @2Kawii4Senpai thanks so much for your input good luck to both of you! I hope we all get accepted!
