Ok, so to start out I am a senior in a prep school. I have a 3.41 GPA with 3 APs (2 this year) and I am applying early action.
TEST SCORES:
SAT: 2090
ACT: 28
AP US History Test: 3
GRADES:
Freshman GPA: 3.35
Sophomore GPA: 3.56
Junior GPA: 3.35
Senior GPA: N/A
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
So that 3.41 is weighted. HOWEVER, my school ads .25 to the GPA of any honors or AP class while UGA seems to add a whole letter grade. I took one honors course freshman year, 1 my sophomore year, 1 my junior year plus one AP, and 2 APs my senior year. I’m a little confused as how I would display my GPA on the UGA application Note: I’m also accelerated a year in math but receive no honors credit
ACADEMIC HONORS:
Cum Laude sophomore year
Probably Cum Laude cumulative
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
1 agency for 3 years
2 agencies for 2 years
TEAMS:
Varsity Sport in junior year, planned in senior year (not college level athlete)
CLUBS:
1 athletic club
1 academic club
1 recreational club
WORK:
3 jobs (2 in summer, one during year)
Extra information: My mother passed away, not sure how much that directly impacts my application but I cited family responsibilities as a reason for some academic slippage and/or loss of free time.
Thanks guys, I’d really love to get in and I’m finding info that’s all over the place as far as what they expect. Would really appreciate an idea
