Could someone help me out and tell me my matches, safeties, reaches, and flat-out rejections:
Syracuse
OSU
University of Illinois at Urbana
Emory
Georgia Tech
FAMU (an HBCU)
Purdue
Miami University in Ohio
NYU
UMich
Penn State
Tulane

Where do I have even the slightest chance of getting in??????

ur EC's are fine i think....but SAT is low for some of the schools and GPA ...are u sure that weighted?? because if it is then thats not too good......id say u have good chances at syracuse, OSU, UIUC (if its not engineering, purdue, penn state, and maybe tulane......i think that Emory, georgia tech, nyu, uMich are all reaches for u....and i dunno about some of the schools u mentioned

Sorry but Michigan, Tulane, NYU, GATEch, Emory and Penn State probably are all HUGE reaches. Especially now that Affirmative Action won't help you at places like Michigan and Penn State, they are scared of lawsuits. try to be reasonable, don't just go for brand name, remember you have to get in and FIT in.

i dont think penn state is a huge reach for her at all

A (mexican) guy I know got accepted to NYU with an 86 average and a 1260 SAT. I am pretty sure he had no out-of-this-world ECs. The school is fancy though but other than that he was normal. People on this site make everything seem harder than it really is.

Definately consider applying to Miami of Ohio. I visited the school with my brother and we both loved it. It's a very good school and I think you have a decent chance of admittance.

i think its b/c ur guy was mexican that he got into NYU...hes a URM

but she is also a URM
