-marine biology club// research for the state

RECS-
i think they'll be pretty good! I've already talked to my two teachers and they've drafted some of what they are writing and so far its very good things

essays-
working on common app essay and i think its decent needs editing

supplements-
haven't started but have a good idea of what I'm going to do

i know a lot of people on here are amazing students and get 4.0s and up and 2400 and 36 and get into amazing schools but i want to know if theres a chance for someone like me to get into Bucknell?!? Its my all time favorite and I've even emailed my admissions counselor multiple times and she's really nice and is interested in what I've been telling her// who i am (probably doesn't mean much) and i told her my situation with my sats and they said its not the only thing in admissions but yeah could anyone on here tell me if i even have a chance??? its my reach but could it ever happen?

bump…?

As an URM with some good credentials, I think you can definitely get in

bump anyone else?

…?

anyone else?

I understand what you are saying about test scores, but they are still major parts of the admissions process. And if you are serious about Bucknell, you’ll have to focus on getting them up. It’s not the fairest system, but it is what it is. If you can’t get the scores up, then ECS won’t matter.

Idk what is a good range for Bucknell, but aim at least for the 50th percentile.

Maybe try the ACT’s?

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using CC

yeah I understand that and I’ve taken the sats 4 times…
so don’t think it’s going to improve much more by taking them 5 times and ACT’s I’ve taken once and it wasn’t good

the admissions counselor spoke to me in person and told me that they are important but not in all circumstances so I know bucknell is a HUGE longshot but I’m still going to apply because I’m not going to be limited just because of my scores…I have more to offer and I didn’t write all my EC down but in detail they are impressive.

Just curious as to what you mean your community is your biggest EC?

It’s for domestic violence and dating violence I work with the agency and we are making a new law for the state that has policies about educating communities, schools, ect

your ecs sound amazing; however, you have to write about them as amazingly as the actual ec.

What is your class rank because your GPA is low for Bucknell

What exactly is your test scores

my school doesn’t rank and doesn’t weigh gpa

1440

1440 out of 1600 or 2400?
