New SAT: 640 V, 720 M, 770 Writing
Old SAT: 660 V, 710 M

ranked 18/490
GPA: 93.2/100
very difficult course load

No community service or volunteer work at all...will that automatically kill me?
Worked every summer since freshman year.
4 years of track (indoor and outdoor) and cross-country (six-time All-Catholic in those sports).
All-American in track and field.
Will go to Notre Dame Summer Experience this summer.

I think you're going to have a lot of difficulty getting into Wake w/o any volunteer/community service experience at all. Wake is HUGE on that... their motto, Pro Humanitate is all about helping out mankind through service to the community, etc... It's a really big factor in the application. If you do some of that & get a few more ECs in there, you'd have a great chance! I'm not saying you don't now, but ya know..

i got in without any community service

Colleges understand that some people work instead of volunteer. Just do your best to do some little things within the community so you don't have nothing.

I only did work within the church youth group and I helped my dad run a major junior golf tournament in the area. It was enough for me.

Your track accomplishments sound great and will help you....you sohuld get in.

I volunteer every summer at my school's carnival, but it is only for a week. Should i still put that?

Yes! of course! put everything in there.. and that's consistent volunteer work so that's good (even though it's for a week)

I'd say you have a good shot, your stats are pretty comparable to mine and I was accepted.

good shot but i agree with enthusiastic, try to get community service in there.....but you got a lot going for you and it's not too late yet...I did like 175+ hrs.

I got in without much CS, I guess because of the activities and employment. APs or IBs?

If you're concerned about the community service aspect, why don't you do some community service. Get involved in Habitat for Humanity. Volunteer at a local soup kitchen. The opportunities are endless and there is definately something that could suit your passions. You seem to be very passionate about track and field. Why don't you volunteer to coach a local team or start your own track team for mentally challenged kids. Help out with special olympics. The applications aren't due until December, take advantage of the time you have left.
