Can I get into Berkeley?

Korean male @ competitive CA public high school (sends over 70 kids to Cal/UCLA each year, 20+ to ivies and other ivy tier schools)

Standardized tests

SAT: taking it this week, will most likely be around 2250 (I'm pretty sure about this), 2300 range if I am lucky.
SAT IIs:
Korean: 780
Bio-M: 800
Math II: 760 - thinking about retaking this. I took this 6 months after math analysis. Should've prepped for this, should I retake it?
World H: 760

AP tests (total=11, maybe 12 if I decide to self-study one):
World: 5
Calc AB, US History, Enviro Sci, Biology, and English Lang are pending.
Will be taking Comp Sci, English Lit, US Gov, Stats, and Euro next year.

Course rigor

Community College courses (taken/taking/will be taking):

Art History (beginning of time - renaissance period)
Art History (renaissance - present)
Calc BC
Multivariable Calculus
Linear Algebra
Differential Equations
Microecon
Macroecon

Senior Schedule:
AP Comp Sci
AP English Lit
AP Euro
AP Stats
Honors US Gov (self studying for AP exam)
Honors Physics
+ couple of community college classes (from the list above)

**Academic gpa/b

UC weighted: 4.54
UC unweighted: 3.85
UC High School (8 semester cap one): 4.15
Rank: within top 10% out of about 700 students. It's still gonna be low in top 10% range since I got all C's in 4 semesters of PE (I thought PE didn't count. Yeah I am stupid)
Will be ELC qualified - I am sure since I have one of the highest UC weighted gpa in my school regardless of my relatively weak class rank (Berkeley disregards high school class rank though right?)

Extracurriculars

Popping/Hip hop dance for 4 years. Performed at kollaboration 2007. (pretty good at this and have some awards/recognition, I dedicate a lot of my time to dancing)

Work at my dad's computer shop. (My dad operates the shop by himself so I have to help out. ~20 hours a week for about two years now)

Peer tutor in school (I use my lunch time to tutor kids in math/science)

Mu Alpha Theta president (national math club organization, will hold my position next year)

Korean Club VP (will hold my position next year as well)

Teaching and helping "mentally" disabled kids at a local elementary school. (I can do this only during summer/winter/spring breaks since those are the only times where my school time doesn't coincide with the elementary school times)

Tennis (private lessons but not competitive and not that good either) - 3 years

Piano (pretty good) - passed level 9 CM test

I do various other environmental activities (like beach clean ups, planting tress, etc.) on weekends.

Misc

I will most likely have enough college credits by the time I enroll in college to have a junior status. I took the strongest course load humanely possible.
First generation to go to college
Prospective Business major (Haas)

Will elaborate on any details if it helps in evaluating my chances. Thanks

Yes .

No reason to retake Math-IIc. It's a very strong score, but only your top two scores count anyway. I would be incredibly surprised if you don't get in, assuming you get A's in your community college courses and get the score on the SAT you predict.

looks good. but you'll also need a little luck, don't forget that part. but most likely you should get in.

I got in with an 3.833 UW GPA, so can you!

you'll get in.

You will get in if you write an essay that convinces the reader you are a good fit for Berkeley. Your stats are well within range!

Definitely. What is your rank? I've noticed that UCs emphasize GPA and rank.

I have gotten A's in all my community college classes so far, I will try my best to get A's in my future ones.

As for class rank, other than that I will be within top 10%, I am not sure. I will be notified about it on fall. But I have heard from people that Berkeley disregards high school class rank (?)

I'll be sure to dedicate a chunk of my summer break towards writing my essays.

I know UCs count only two SAT II scores, but I don't want to send in my Korean score (the average is 740+). I rather send bio and another score.

yea, don't do korean because if they know you're korean & they know you did the korean subject test.. that doesnt show much

i got in with a 3.6 unweighted..

i got in with sucky SAT II & ACT scores. haha

GPAx213, UCs take your top two scores, and they see all of them, so the 760 may as well have been in Literature or Math-IIC. It's unfair (coming from someone who is not a native speaker of an SAT-II language) but that's the way it works.

Really, dude, chill. You're in as long as you don't screw up your GPA in CC.

Oh so I can't choose which two scores they take? Even if I don't retake math II, I would rather send in Bio and math II or World History than Korean.

I'll be sure to do well in CC classes.

Also what are the benefits of having junior status as a freshman in Berkeley? I know for UCLA you get priority class registration... is Berkeley the same?

Well, first semester it is irrelevant as all freshman register at or after CalSO (at UCLA as well.) But after that, yes, you're considered a junior for class registration.

Yeah, you can't choose the score you send in. The College Board sends all your SAT-I and SAT-II scores in together.

Alright thanks

You are certainly a match. The only tossup are your essays, which could even be written orthodoxly because everything else looks great.
