<p>i applied as a bio major and this last semester at my community college i really messed up and i got an F in physics 2 and a C in organic chemistry 1. before this semester, i had a gpa of 3.54. obviously im going to retake the physics class next semester and im going to ensure that i get at least a B in that physics class. i really really reallyyyyy want to get into calstate longbeach or uc irvine. is it possible? can i even get into my backup, calstate fullerton?</p>
<p>An F looks really bad and you need to re-take that class before you are considered a serious applicant. I think until you pull up your gpa a little higher UCI is out of the question. Bio majors is a really tough major and most schools want to see a high gpa. I think you will be fine at getting into cal state Fullerton or Long Beach as long as you re-take that class with the F.
If I were you I would call csulb or uci to hear their opinion on this
