hi,
I'm currently a 4th-year Econ/Math double major at the University of Virginia. I was wanting to go do grad school for economics, but I am concerned that my GPA is lowish after a badish 6th semester. My current GPA(end of 3rd year) is 3.2. My economics GPA is a little higher, around 3.4. I haven't taken the GRE yet, but have been studying. I've taken several practices and tend to score 168Quant-162Verbal. So, If I had 3.2 GPA and GREs in the 165Quant 160Verbal ball park, would I have a chance of getting into a good grad school for economics(for example, UVa, UNC, or Pitt)?

You will have a chance if you have good letters of reference and research experience. Whether the right schools for you are the ones you have listed depends on how selective they are in your chosen program. For the most selective schools, your chances will be lower of course. Since you are already at UVa, you can simply ask your professors if you are likely to be admitted to their program (whether or not it is a good idea to stay at the same institution…)
