I know, those two schools are like total opposites, but I still love them. I was wondering whether you guys thought I could get into either/both of these schools, and whether I could get a FULL RIDE. ALSO, WHAT CAN I DO to improve my chances? Thanx.
Here are the facts on me:

-My gpa, by the time I apply, will be around 3.6-3.7.
-I'm in 4 clubs, with 1 leadership position.
-I volunteered at an English-learning school
-I volunteered at a playground-building project
-I plan on taking a sociology class in the winter at a community college
-I plan on completing a research internship on biology during the summer

*EXTRA INFO:
-Only one of my parents works-she makes less than $32, 000 a year
-I'm of Middle Eastern descent
-I'm first generation to go to college
-I live in Massachusetts

honestly, i dont think yuo have a chance at either. sorry
to improve… idk if its too late to raise your gpa, but you need a much higher gpa
sat scores?
for harvard, your ec’s need to be amazing… yours are just decent

I think that’s a little harsh leon. with good essays and recommendations, anything can happen. the college admissions process is extremely subjective. I’m not saying you have a great shot at Harvard but hey anything can happen. And do think you could get into NYU if you put a lot of effort into your application and cross your fingers
