Can I get into Harvard or NYU? GIVE YOUR FULL OPINION!!!

I know, those two schools are like total opposites, but I still love them. I was wondering whether you guys thought I could get into either/both of these schools, and whether I could get a FULL RIDE. ALSO, WHAT CAN I DO to improve my chances? Thanx.
Here are the facts on me:

-My gpa, by the time I apply, will be around 3.6-3.7.
-I'm in 4 clubs, with 1 leadership position.
-I volunteered at an English-learning school
-I volunteered at a playground-building project
-I plan on taking a sociology class in the winter at a community college
-I plan on completing a research internship on biology during the summer

*EXTRA INFO:
-Only one of my parents works-she makes less than $32, 000 a year
-I'm of Middle Eastern descent
-I'm first generation to go to college
-I live in Massachusetts

ALMOST FORGOT!!!!!:
-I've taken 10 AP classes my entire hs career.
-I've gotten a 5 on all except 1

Your GPA seems low for Harvard but you may have a shot with NYU. What are your standardixzed testing scores? Those are a huge part of the application. And your ECs seem a bit weak for Harvard, but you may have a shot with NYU.

harvard…not so much. not very exciting ECs, and gpa is ehhh. and also your sat score is much higher than your gpa, which usually doesn’t reflect well on admissions (high sat score and not so high gpa is a POTENTIAL indicator of a slacker; that’s why i opted not to retake the sat after hitting 2250…my gpa wasn’t entirely perfect).

and financial aid is screwy. although if your household income (including assets, i think) is below 60k, i know hahvahd will give you a full ride. not sure how much money nyu has on hand, but you’d probably qualify if your household income is low enough.
