Can I get into Indiana U?

Hello all,

I am heading into my senior year and intend on applying to Indiana University(Bloomington, main campus), what are my odds?

I am a Michigan resident
School of 2300 students, am in the top 50%

29 ACT

U/W GPA 3.12

W GPA 3.22

Last semester U/W GPA 3.5, W GPA 3.6166

Founding member and Chairman of the school's only political club, which is now up to over 35 members and has seen a good amount of success

Started up and am the Chief administrator of my school's Athletics Website which has seen a great deal of success this year

Model U.N. member

Selected as The Student Section Leader for my Senior Year

Several other ECs

White Male

Intended Major: Sports Management

Senior Schedule: will consist of AP Physics, AP U.S. History, Pre-calc, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Senior Business, and my class where I run the Athletics Website mentioned above.

I switched schools half way through my Freshman year which has had a negative impact on my GPA.

Your gpa isn’t stellar, but go for it. just work hard senior year and communicate with the admissions people at iu.

Very doubtful. The most important elements in admission are rigor, class rank and GPA. <a href=“Indiana University”>Indiana University; Section C7. Your GPA is in the bottom 15% (Section C11). Your class rank is in the bottom 25% (Section C10). Nor can you afford it.

Shoot for it. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in. While you don’t have the greatest GPA or class rank, you have solid ECs and IU probably wants people who will pay full tuition.

I think you have a shot, your SAT is good and if you can afford it then your chances only go up. Your GPA is worrying but if you did get in I would not be very surprised. Go for it though.
