<p>I am an african american male student living in southeastern KY but was born in Cameroon, Africa. I have been accepted into the seminar for african american scholars at ND. My gpa is 4.0 unweighted and around 4.15 weighted. before i graduate, i would have taken 5 AP courses which would have been the maximum available at my high school. I have taken the ACT once and got a 28. 31 in math and English, 29 in science and 22 in reading. I have played varsity basketball all through high school. what are my chances of getting into ND and any other high profile schools?</p>
<p>If you get your ACT score up a little more (or maybe try the SAT?), you should stand a good chance. With good grades and varsity athletics, you seem to be the type of student Notre Dame looks for.</p>
<p>What’s your class rank? Assuming you’re in the top 10% or so, you should be okay on that.</p>

<p>Then you’re in very good shape. Focus on getting your ACT reading score up and try out the SAT, and everything will be in order.</p>
