<p>I have a 4.13 weighted gpa a 1980 sat and i am president of cinema club and liberal club, i am vp of junior statesmen of america, i did varsity xc and track for two years and mentored kids for two years as well. I am taking the most rigorous course my high school offers and I am top 13% of my school. I also have 300+ hours of community service and i am hispanic. I would apply EARLY DECISION for communications what are my chances????? </p>
<p>Your SAT is about 250 points below the line for NYU. Normally being a URM would make up for that but NYU get’s TONS of applications from very high-perfoming URM students.
You should re-take the SAT or look into one of NYU’s alternate testing options.</p>
<p>And make sure you run the net price calculator for NYU and that you would be able to afford it. They have a reputation for giving poor financial aid. Don’t take out big loans to go there.</p>
