Do i have chances at NYU being an international student from Colombia with a GPA of 3.25 taking 4 AP courses and taking another one previous before which is finished already, always taking the hardest honor/ap classes. Player of the basketball team, member of MUN and have taken part of different inter scholar conferences/debates. Im also a part of MU ALPHA THETA and have been in other minor extracurricualars outside of school guitar/soccer/tennis. My SAT's are projected to be high to i have a chance? 10% of their students had a gpa of 3.0 to 3.25 thanks

bumppppppp

What do you consider high for SATs?
Nothing here seems like it would stand in the way for admission…do you hold any leadership positions in your ECs?

mun is my school is conformed by a small group of people like 6-8 and i have gone to various conferences as a delegate and have won a couple of awards like best delegate… from a group of 200 something. Math is my strongest subject i think i could get 700-800 i bought the sat online course working on the writing and critical section got a 6/6 on the sample test essay so if i study hard i can get them up too

With a high SAT you could get in as you will be considered a URM. I would not expect much financial aid though, so hopefully that’s not a concern.

yeah i dont care about financial aid only about getting accepted

what’s a urm?

Under Represented Minority

TO the OP: I don’t know about your passions, your ECs, leadership, life experience or work experience. But judging from the hard numbers you provided, you have a very slim shot of getting in. Not to burst your bubbles or anything. There was a guy from my school this year who is asian american, drama club president, more AP classes + IB diploma, speech captain, and top 5% of the class; he got waitlisted to NYU.

However, I must profess that private schools admissions can be very random at times, so I’m not saying you don’t stand a chance.

Good luck anyways :)
