Can I get into Penn State Nursing?

Here are my achievements:

1830 SAT
3.7 GPA
2 AP classes
2 honors classes
National Honor Society
Girl Scout for 12 years (various service projects; silver & bronze awards earned)
Athlete: National champ; 2 national records; jr. world team; competed abroad at world champs 2x (ps it's not a collegiate sport so I can't be recruited)
I write a strong essay.

I'm also wondering if I could get any merit aid with these stats if you do think I could get into main campus.

You might have to increase that SAT for the school of nursing.

Looking good for undecided.

xtremepower, increase a little or a lot?

I think you have a good chance! I’m going to be a sophomore in the nursing program. My stats were a GPA of 3.8 weighted, and 1860 sat’s, 1 AP, really good short answer essay, and really good extra curricular hospital experiences/shadowing. I actually wouldn’t worry about your SAT’s too much, Penn state focuses most on GPA! You may be on the border but if I had to guess I’d say you would get in!

Also, I’m not sure how many schools you’re considering… but choose PSU nursing was the best decision I’ve made. I absolutely LOVE penn state and the nursing program so far! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
