Can I get into the University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign??

I am a junior at my highschool and my GPA is a decent 3.8.
I have ALL IB Classes, for I am pursuing the IB Diploma
I am the treasurer of a club called Charity Circle in our city, and am the Secretary of Math Club
I am a DECA officer as well (a business program).
I have won several math olympiads, and one science olympiad to the state level.
Have reached DECA Nationals this year, but was not a finalist.
Completing the Stanford EPY (very high level math online) as well.
SAT is at a 2290 and ACT is at 32....

What are my chances??

I would think you have a good chance…are you instate for Illinois? If not, can you pay the OOS costs?

We are out of state, and for our family, it should not be a problem at all.

What is your intended major? At UIUC, you apply to the major directly and that may affect your chance. In general, non-engineering majors are easier to get in and you should have a decent change.

My intended major is Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering. I would also try out finance, but I am not sure.

UIUC AeroE: Low match/Match
UIUC finance: Low match

^Can you explain what this means?

Your SAT at 2290 is much better than your ACT 32. For engineering overall at UIUC, the mid 50 ACT is 31-34 and your SAT score is near their 75%. However, your GPA is lower than their admission average of 3.9. Considering oos with GPA 3.8 and SAT 2290, I think you are a high match. You would be a low match/match if in state. I don’t know the stat for finance, so I cannot comment on that. I believe it should be a tad easier.

My GPA is actually 3.8 NON-weighted, and my weighted GPA is 4.1…does that make a difference?

I am talking about uwGPA which most admission stat use.

You’re in.

Lol haha. Thanks guys for all you replays it really helped me a lot!

Congrats on picking a fantastic place to hopefully matriculate to!
Fantastic Engineering school!
