Can I get into UCLA?

Hi, so I’m gonna be applying this fall. I want to apply for the Linguistics and Comp Sci major in the College of Letters and sciences. What are my chances.

UCLA GPA - 3.4
SAT - 1300 (Should I take it again?)
OOS - Illinois
EC’s: Student Advisory Council Exec Board, DECA VP of Technology, Golf, Lacrosse, Newspaper Staff Writer, Yearbook, The Mash Staff Writer (Teen Chicago Tribune), AIM Music Theory (11/12 levels completed), Art, GWC

Oh, and I’ve also taken the hardest classes possible, all honors/ap every year

Well, to be honest, your GPA is a low, all other things being equal…but importantly, the UC system is more expensive for OOS students now than it used to be (and rightfully so!) so you should make sure that your parents are aware of this before you get your heart set on UCLA.

No financial aid for OOS students. With your stats UCLA is pretty much out of reach.

You just make the minimum UC GPA cutoff to apply to any UC school as an OOS applicant.
UCLA is a High Reach.

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:

UCB: 2%
UCLA: 3%
UCSD: 6%
UCD: 15%
UCSB: 14%
UCI: 13%
UCSC: 59%
UCR: 78%
UCM: 92%

Since you will be full pay $60K/year, UC Riverside, Santa Cruz and Merced would gladly welcome you.
