Can I get into UCSB?

Hi, so I am currently a junior and have been looking at UCSB as a choice for college. I’ve been wanting to go for a while and was wondering if I even have a shot.

My GPA weighted is 4.3, unweighted a 3.5.
I am currently taking 3 honors classes and 3 AP classes and next year I am taking 5 AP classes.

My SAT is a 2010 and I am planning on taking the SAT Math Subject II test next month.

I’ve had a job since my sophomore year at a tutoring company called Kumon and am also interning at a bank this summer, and I am interning with a city council member also this summer.

I’ve been captain of my schools softball team for 2 years. I am in several clubs, including Red Cross, Make A Wish, and Spanish Honors Society, and probably am going to be a board member for one next year. I’ve done 90+ hours of community service and will be doing more.

As for what I am planning on majoring in, most likely business or economics but I am not completely sure yet. I might end up applying as an undeclared major.

If you write a solid personal statement, I’m fairly certain that you’ll get in. Good luck, but don’t stress. You’ve still got a good number of months left, aha.

You have a good shot stats-wise. I got in with a lower GPA and SAT score. Everything else depends on your personal statement!

my twin sister got in with a 3.2 gpa and 2000 gpa, so pretty sure you can get in if you have a good personal statement!
