Can I get into UGA?

Over the course of 3 years at my high school, I've completed rigorous courses, the highest offered by my school and the school district:

AP US Govt. - 92 (got a 2)...freshman year :/
AP World History - 104 (got a 4)
IB English- 90
IB Biology- 93
IB Math- 85
IB Physics- 95
IB History- 97
(i have all the credits required by UGA standards)

The classes i've taken throughout high school are IB/AP courses and my current gpa is 3.7 where I am in the top 5% in my school. I'm currently in various clubs throughout school (6) and was on the cross country team at my school. Everything was going well for me to get into UGA, however, I received my ACT scores, it being a 26 composite.
ACT: 26-composite; 28-math; 23-science; 25-english; and a 9 on my essay.

This is my first time taking the ACT (haven't taken the SAT) and now I know what to expect due to me going in the test room pretty nervous. I plan on retaking it again with the possibility of sending my scores in for Early Action...Please, I was wondering if I have the required gpa and other requirements to be accepted into the University of Georgia.

Google “UGA collegeboard” and click the first link. Scroll down the page and you’ll see the GPA ranges for UGA:

67% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
22% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
8% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
2% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
1% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

You can also find that the middle 50% of ACT’s are 25-29.

You’ve got a very rigorous courseload and your scores/GPA are in the middle. If you’re instate, I think you’re in for sure. Keep your grades up and a higher ACT can always help though. Be sure to check out the SAT too incase you do better on that exam.

Thank you very much! I’ll look into it!

i think you should be okay if you are in state! almost everyone does better the second time around taking a test, so just study and don’t freak out next time you take the act!

i’m applying to uga also - but from out of state! chance me! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/956846-chance-rising-senior-unc-uva.html
