Hey guys… so I am a senior in Highschool and I have a pretty crappy gpa. I have a 3.45 unweighted. I just want to know where I might be able to get accepted. I want to major in Buisness/Compsci
I had serious health problems with cancer in the early years of my highschool. It was kinda hard for me to focus on school at that time…(I am going to probably write about this in my essays)

UIUC has CS offered in the engineering school and multiple CS+X majors offered in their LAS school. The CS in Engineering is general tougher to get into, although all of them have similar-same CS resources. Which one were you looking at?

ohhhh i get you…honestly, I just want to get better at CS, so i wouldnt get too hung up on either school. I would prefer ENG CS but CS+X in Arts and Sciences isnt bad either. @yikesyikesyikes
CS at UIUC are highly competitive. I thonk your GPA would hinder you from getting into top engineering schools.
I’m no expert in admissions or exceptional situations like yours, but I think you have a great shot at UIUC. You should definitely try it out. I got into Math + CS with a slightly higher SAT, higher GPA, but much less broad CS experience as you. Apply and see how it goes. Best of luck!
