Can i have in-state tuition??? etc.

So i’m an 18 year old girl who is originally from Virginia. My mom and step dad decided to move to Texas my senior year so here i am in Texas. My biological father lives in Virginia. I missed the deadline of applying early to colleges because i had health complications and I was trying to get my health restored. I want to see if i can apply to a community college back in my hometown in Virginia but out of state tuition is so expensive. I have lived in Virginia since i was three years old and will be completing a year of living here in Texas in June. Is it possible that I could receive my fathers domicile? I just want to go to college so bad and having to wait a year until i can go is just upsetting. On the bright side i could use the time to save up money but still, i’d rather go to college. Anything helps thank you!!!

The rules are different for every state. Contact the school you are considering and ask if you could count as in-state given it is your dads residence.

Possibly, if your biological dad contributes to your support you could use his domicile for instate tuition. You should contact the school. There is still time to enroll in CC for the fall, but you should try to get these questions answered quickly.

You have to look up the rules for the college/state you are interested in.
