I'm taking the SAT (It'll be my second time) in October and I would really like to raise my current score of 2090 to a 2200.

Individually, this is what I'm shooting for:

1st sitting 2 sitting hopefully!

Maths 640 680

Crit 680 720
Writing 770 800 if my essay is really good

Is this at all possible? I'm terrible at Maths, anyone know how I can get better quickly?!

I went from a 2090 to 2190 by doing the 8 BB tests, I am bad at math too so we were in very similar situations

yes, it is possible. it depends how much you want to put into it. take tests. review. work on what you need to work on.

i improved by 250 points from my 1st-2nd.

there are a MULTITUDE of threads IDENTICAL to this one WHYYYY DONT PEOPLE USE THE SEARCH FUNCTIONNNNNNNNNN :P

I improve 210 from first to second seating.

i found it weird too. I didn’t really study much more. However, I concentrated really hard while I was taking the test to refrain from making stupid mistakes, which I did on my first test.

math*, sorry
and yes, it’s completely possible

Oops…this side of the Atlantic we say Maths

I went from a 2030 to a 2220, so it’s definitely possible.
Except for me my breakdown was completely different.
800 M -> 780 M
620 CR -> 680 CR
610 W -> 760 W

So the writing was the only reason my score went up basically. My 1600 score went from a 1420 to a 1460, not that big of an improvement there, but you can’t really improve too much from an 800 M
So any advice I give you it won’t really help seeing as how I really only improved in writing. But good luck haha

I think your math can definitely improve. I haven’t taken the real SAT since eighth grade, but the over the past one and half month I’ve improved my score from a 1970 to 2200 by using the College Board practice SAT tests. I’m hoping to keep on improving and get 2250 in october on the real test.
My score break down:
CR: 640 ---------->690
Math: 650 -------->780
Writing: 680 ------>750
my math definitely improved a lot, so i have faith in improving your math score too! Make sure that after you’ve taken the practice test, go back and see not only your mistakes, but also check the problems you’ve guessed on and even those that you got right.
Good luck to you in october!
