Can I improve my SAT score in time?

I just got my results for my SAT.

So I got a 1950, and was planning on retaking in January, but was wondering if this gave me enough time to study enough for a significant improvement in my score? This was my first SAT and I didn't really study (I learnt some vocab and took two practice tests during the week before the test), but I want to get above a 2200.

What do you think?

thanks for your help

If you really “didn’t really study”, then you should definitely have a good shot at improving your score if you study this time. Are you a senior? Why didn’t you study?

A 250 point increase in a month and a half is statistically rare. Most people improve on average 8 points.

I think there is a chance, however you really have to study.
Take a lot of practice tests, my score went up 500 points due to preparation, this was over a greater amount of time, but if you don’t slack off, you’ll be good.

should i just do TONS OF PRACTICE TESTS? from the blue book? and what if i get some stuff wrong…how do i correct myself?

Well, I did the Princeton Review Prep which helped a lot.
But if you don’t do a prep, just do practice problems-try to notice trends on what types of problems you are getting wrong and usually there is an explanation in the book for the problem. That helped me a lot.
It is mostly knowing what type of problems will be on the test and being prepared for that.

No, that’s stupid. You could take all the practice tests in a week, and you would still have the same score.

so whatd do i do? just take the practice tests and see what i got wrong?? then go it over? suggestions? i rly only have less than 2 weeks till my final SAt and i wanna get a 1700+ at least
