So I received an e-mail from College Board telling me to follow some steps to submit my financial documents. I'm assigned an IDOC ID. But I've already received my FA package from my ED2 college and made my enrollment deposit online. So basically I think I'm settled. When I was applying, I sent PROFILE(I'm an international student) and my parents' tax returns, bank statement and income verification directly to the college, so what's this IDOC about? I'm very confused. Can I just ignore it? Should I send an extra copy of my financial documents to College Board?(weird...)

If your school requires the documents be sent to IDOC, you need to send them.

I doubt that YOU are an exception to their requirement, but if you have a question, contact the college directly.

When ,y kid was applying to colleges, she had also received her financial aid package. We were still REQUIRED to deal with IDOC.

Okay, thank you @thumper1,I’ll contact the college directly.

Good move, not smart to ‘ignore’ any notices you get. But fyi this is on the College Board Site:

IDOC is only available to students that participating colleges and programs select and the College Board notifies for participation. Do not enter the site unless the College Board notified you that at least one of your colleges or programs participates in the IDOC Service.

Is your ED school requesting that you send your information through the IDOC? If yes, then you should. While you may have already received your ED2 package, they are really preliminary numbers until the financial aid department has your family’s complete financial picture (including verifying your income with the IRS using the IRS data retrieval tool, transcript or non-filers statement).

If you are receiving IDOC request from schools that you have withdrawn your application from (hopefully you have gone through this process now that you have accepted your ED school), be courteous send an e-mail to the admissions and financial aid departments letting them know that you have been admitted to another school ED and are attending that school. Please withdraw your application (don’t burn bridges that you may have to cross again).

Thank you for your replies! @BrownParent @sybbie719
So I contacted the ED college directly, and they told me to disregard the e-mail from College Board.(lol…) I withdrew my applications to other colleges several days ago, but I suppose the colleges need some time to deal with my withdrawal and notify the financial service offices.(I didn’t notify them) So I guess the IDOC request was sent by one of my RD colleges.(One of them hasn’t replied to my withdrawal yet.)
