yo penguin and bedhead you two are my new favs on CC right now.

the movie is so amazing. the part where they are all smoking the illegal weed and watching the afgani cartoon is crazyyyyyyyyyy and hilarious

I gotta watch that movie again, and see the rest of Grandma's boy.

anyways peace. I got school tomorrow.

yeah same but i have a 2 hr delayy and its so swwweet. alright peace.

Incase anyone cares, I decided to continue to smoke.

People should stop judging the OP

Wise choice, Penguin. Please relate your experiences, particularly if you decide to "layer in" other substances. I should think your choice would be viewed as stolid commitment. Do you bake all day or just in the evenings?

UCSB has a student chapter of NORML if any of you are aware. So the answer is no, you wouldn't lose a scholarship because you smoked weed. You'd lose it because you went around telling the scholarship foundations that you smoke weed. Keep it to yourself and inside of an enclosed area. =)

BedHead-I am a weekend/party baker. I also never mix weed and tobacco, and I don't do any other drugs except for alcohol.

I like your regime. I'm not much of a baker myself, but I would do it on a binge basis rather than constant.

Penguin: Good news. New line of defense in case your test comes out positive. "Just trying to stave off Parkinson's." If you're a Michael J. Fox fan or Janet Reno fan, you can claim horror at watching their challenges. If it runs in your family -- Parkinson's -- you're even in better shape. If Parkinson's does in fact run in your family, maybe you should think about becoming a more regular baker.

If someone points out that the scientists don't necessarily think pot would help stave of Parkinson's, tell them it hasn't been proven yet that it hasn't. And tell them you are afraid, very afraid.

O_O That's amazing.

You know, if someone really wanted to be an a-hole, they could look up your posts to figure out (or at least narrow down) where you're applying, and send admissions a link to this. It's not hard to track IP addresses, even if you are taking preventative measures against it. They'd have to be pretty sad to do it, but hey, I'm sure someone would like to see a pothead go down. CCers don't look too fondly on that, to say the least.

You're not very smart, I'd delete any personal information you've posted (specifically anything regarding said scholarship and places you're applying).

And as for the pot, stop smoking it. Pointless. I find those that smoke it tend to be on the more immature side of the spectrum. You want to "chill out" and relax? Take a nap or something.

Hey, who cares what you think?

actually, being convicted of drug possession violates your right to federal aid (I think something like this was in the FAFSA form)....but anyway it would just be a misdemeanor.

Anyhow, I know a lot of potheads at my school who have gotten selected for scholarships.

I do not think that schools test, but if I were you I would stop. I am not saying this cuz I am a nerd or w/e, but seriously its stupid. My friends used to do this a lot and they got kinda boring, everytime we hung out they always wanted to do the same thing. Its so dumb, waste of money, and time. I am sure you could do so much more productive things.

ns347: What you said is why I am not a big baker. Though so far as I am concerned people can do what they want if it doesn't hurt others.

But I think you kinda nailed it.

this is a great post. if you need to pass a test, go to a head shot and get a detox, or there's some places that sell synthetic urine kits, that are pre-made, you just put a heat pad on, strap it to your nuts and put it into the cup, 100% effective, unless they do a DNA test.

Just applied for the Byrd (federal scholarship). Had to sign a form saying I hadn't defaulted on a student loan, I didn't have any drug convictions, and I was registered for the draft. People applying for any federal scholarship have to sign that form. As I looked at the list of federal scholarship programs, it made me think. I don't remember if it also applies to loan programs. I should check.

Please define "Convictions" Admiral Byrd.

Actually, the question of whether smoking the reefer could affect your scholly is best asked of the Admissions Director at the school. Let us know how that works out for ya.
