lol, sounds wrong, sorry. i'm visiting emory (again) this friday and saturday and want to stay in a dorm. unfortunately, the school no longer sets up overnight visits and i don't know anyone who goes there. any emory students willing to let me camp out on their floor? anybody know an emory student who may possibly be willing to let me camp out on the floor? thanks! (i'm a girl...girls' dorms only. sorry guys.)

I'm a bit curious why if it is generally acknowledged that an overnight stay in the dorm with students showing you the ropes is the best way to really get to know about the school Emory does not coordinate this program and chose to stop the program? Does Emory expect a campus visit and tour is enough? Or, is the info from the poster incorrect? Would like to hear from Emory students.

I don't know why Emory has this policy but the poster is correct. My son tried to do an overnight in the fall and couldn't so I had to pay for him to stay at the conference hotel that is on the campus.

the poster does know what she is talking about. i called and spoke to an admissions officer to confirm that, unfortunately, they no longer coordinate overnight visits. prospective students either know an emory student they can stay with or....they do like me and frantically try to find someone who knows someone who has a second cousin once removed who goes to emory. please, somebody help. any emory students? anyone who knows an emory student? anyone who knows someone whose cousin is an emory student? pm me, s'il vous plait......i really want to get the dorm experience b/c its the only way to make a fair comparison between emory and all the other schools i'm considering. it's sooo important to immerse yourself in the student body at any school, if just for one night, b/c it tells you so much more than an admissions counselor ever could, even more than you can get from attending a class or eating in the dining hall.

This post is a big no-no...it's basically screaming "rape me or murder me creepy kids at Emory!"

Sorry, just my $.02

ha ha thats what i though too ha
