I think the question is self explanatory! I took the PSAT-NMSQT and wanted to submit my scores to schools. Would they allow me to even though it’s (obviously) not the SSAT and it was the only test I had access too?
Will they allow you? Sure. They won’t stop you.
But that’s not your question, is it? Will they consider in lieu of SSAT? That’s school-specific, so you need to ask the schools.
Check if the SSAT is optional? It is at most schools.Check if the SSAT is optional? It is at quite a few schools. You can always add an explanation in “Additional Information” on Gateway.
My school allows it in lieu of the SSAT, not sure about others
It normally says on the school’s admissions web pages which scores they will accept. DA added it this year for 9th, I don’t believe it was there last year.
Oop just noticed typos…
Asked Andover Admissions and they said I could!
Follow up question… How do I submit PSAT scores to prep schools? Just take a screenshot?
Ask the school how they want it. Some want the official result sent to them by the College Board. If so, they’ll have a code you can use in your request.
