Can I submit SIR to two schools if I'm only putting down one deposit?

Sorry for being dense, but what does the abbreviation SIR mean?

Statement of Intent to Register.

At my kid’s non-flagship state school, it consisted of a radio button on a webpage followed by a deposit paid online.

I’m thinking you have two weeks or so to really think about this and make a decision. You have these two acceptances. Pick one…and move on.

All you are doing is seemingly indicating that you will attend both schools. You can’t attend both schools. Forget about the deposit issue. Think about that. You would be completing an intent to enroll really at two schools. You really can only attend ONE…so pick one. Don’t put this off.

Yes, that’s the reason I was considering waiting. The school that admitted for spring itself is considered to be much higher in terms of academics, prestige, and outcomes to a certian degree. There may be some extra updates in Mid-May about the spring situation which is why I considered just going for two so I could defer my decision for at least another couple weeks.
