I’ve been contemplating on changing majors to CS/SWE at UCI and one of the required classes I need are reserved for ICS majors and so I was wondering if it’ll be okay to take one of the CC articulated CS course at foothill college (not near my city at all) during the summer? Would the UCs rescind me because I didn’t list that I’d be taking a course the summer before I attend UC?
You can take it at another CCC. List the summer course as planned in the application.
Thanks for replying! The thing is I’m not sure if I will take that class during the summer, so I may not put it on my application. Also, how would it work since I’m applying this fall and transcripts are due next summer while I’m still taking that online course? I was planning on taking it and then when I get that one summer course grade back I was planning on sending another transcript just for foothill college. I’m not sure what to do and I’m lost
Then leave it off application. After acceptance ask if you can take the summer course (always get permission). Then you submit transcripts by the deadline (July 1, as I recall), and then summer transcript by Sept 1.
Sounds like a plan, thanks. Since foothill college’s cs course has math as its pre req, I’m certain that I can fill it considering I’m taking the calculus series, should I send them my transcript around spring and hopefully they can articulate it and I wouldn’t need to take a math placement test over there?
I see what you’re saying. I think if you just send an unofficial that shows you’re in Calc that should be fine.
