Can I take the SAT Subject tests in the summer?

I want to take the Chemistry and US History Subject Test in the summer and not during the school year. Is it possible to do that? Is it like the AP Exam where I have to take it at the end of the school year?

No...the earliest they begin is like September for certain states (Texas included :) ) but most states start in August.

Then again I could be thinking of the ACT...either way, check out collegeboard.com to find the dates. But I know for a fact they don't offer tests in the summer...I would have been taking advantage of that.

The first SAT test date is October 14.

October 24th actually, but the latest is sometime in early June which was summer for me.

^^^The earliest test date is October 14th.

i don't understand why collegeboard does this! it would be SO convenient if they offered tests in the summer

oh woops my bad, I guess I looked at when you get your scores...

well maybe for us students, but it would be a PAIN For the teachers/proctors./other not to mention that they wont make that much bussiness because alot of people go away in the summer (vaccation , etc)

oh i see. xylem that makes a lot of sense!

yeah i took the last ACT date and the lady was like "thank god we get a break" she'd been doing it for every single session...lazy ass.
