Can I transfer if I am a sophomore with junior standing?

Hi all. I am currently a student who is seeking to transfer and am applying to Pitzer, Brown, and Stanford. (Obviously, the latter two are shots in the dark.) I am currently a sophomore in terms of years at my school, but am considered a junior based on academic credits. Am I eligible to transfer to these schools? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes as long as you meet the admission requirement.

Have you read the college websites for transfer eligibility? I didn’t look at P, but I know that both B & S require you to spend at least 2 years on campus, however I was unsure if they would take someone with jr standing due to number of credits. S did not address this, but B did; when unsure, always call/email the school.

How did you get all those credits? AP, IB, CLEP? It is entirely possible that the new institution won’t accept the same exams and scores for credit. Dual-enrollment courses may or may not transfer either. You need to communicate directly with each institution, and ask them.
