I had orientation yesterday at which they said they have to raise tuition this year due to budget. I’m not comfortable paying more for less so I was wondering if I could transfer to a community college for a semester or two then be able to comfortably transfer back if the pandemic ends.
If you go to CC I expect you would have to re-apply to your original college as a transfer student. If you go that route then you likely won’t get the same level of aid that you got as a freshman.
Transfers don’t get the same aid as freshmen. Can your parents pay for the school out-of-pocket if you don’t get any aid as a transfer student?
If you complete at least one term and stay in good standing, check the college’s withdrawal / readmission or leave of absence policies, including whether you can take courses at other colleges when away from the college and transfer them, and whether any scholarships you had will continue.
