Can I transfer to a CSU with an AA instead of an AA-T?

Hello! So I’m having a bit of an issue and my counselors haven’t really been clear with me.

Here’s some further details:
-I’m currently going to Chabot Community College and my mom wants me to transfer to CSU East Bay next door.
-I’m working on an AA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis on social sciences.
-There’s no AA-T available for Liberal Arts at Chabot

So my question is, will I be able to transfer with a regular AA, or do I have to pick from one of the few AA-Ts Chabot has to offer in order for me to transfer? Thanks in advance!

yes - in fact, you don’t need an AA at all to transfer. I’d encourage you to make an appointment with a transfer admissions counselor at CSUEB, bring your transcripts and a list of the courses you plan to take and ask them to help map your course.
