Can I transfer to UCLA with 80 units?

What is the limit for transfer units? All of my units are from a CCC. Would I be able to do the tail end of my junior year and my full senior year there, or would I have to do 2 full years of courses with them?

If all units are from CCs, they are all lower division, and they will be capped at 70 semester (105 quarter) units for purposes of transfer credit an d unit limitations at UCs. However, all courses taken will count for subject credit against specific requirements for your major or general education.

With 105 quarter units transferred into UCLA, you would have to take 5 15-unit quarters to reach 180 units. However, if you need to take a lot of “catch up” courses because your CC did not have full coverage of the lower division prerequisites for your major, you may need additional quarters.
