Can I use a reccomendation from a dual enrollment community college teacher?

Going into stem. The CC teacher taught me calc over summer of my junior year. Thanks.

Bump. can someone please answer

I actually think it would look good and since it is a unique type of recommendation, it will certainly help you out too.

Ok, thanks!

Comm college teachers often don’t know how to write an LoR as a hs teacher would and often don’t have knowledge of you outside the classroom. Plus, it was a summer course. There’s a section where the form asks how well they know you and less than a semester may not cut it. The icing is this would be from the summer before junior year. Why not a junior or senior year math or sci teacher who knows you well?

I’m really quiet  My junior year teachers are pretty dry too. My classes are really big and they’re challenging for me so it’s hard to stick out. My compsci teacher knows me well… but she’s not a core teacher

You might want to get to know your teachers. Do you have any teachers, last year, that you excelled in their class? Genuinely talk with them and ask if they will write a letter of recommendation for you. Stay positive @deadgirl. P.S. Your screen name is kind of off putting. Just saying, in a helpful way.

DE with a college prof? They often dont know how to write

You can use any teacher who knows you well enough to write a comprehensive letter. If this teacher does, then being DE shouldn’t stop you from using him.

But don’t choose that teacher based simply on the fact that he teaches DE. That’s his resume, not yours.

Thanks! That is a point I never considered!
