I got a D in honors Algebra 2 first semester sophomore year :( I cried and was depressed for a month/

I had
AP Art History
AP Euro
English, Spanish 2, Chemistry, and Algebra 2 (all of them honors)
and got all A's and an A- in euro and art history.

I switched to regular algebra 2 and have a solid A so I can get straight A's this semester(:

my GPA was 4.3 and like 3.67 (I'm not sure about that one)

I also have many extracurriculars and am VP of three clubs, am in tennis and swim, and hundreds of hours of community service along with a business internship.

Good job getting switched to the regular Alg 2 and the great grades you are getting. You are on the right track, AJ!

thanks :)

but would that one grade ruin it all for me? I’ve been worrying ever since i got my report card.

You’ve asked that lots of times - you could just go and re-read the answers from December - the advice was pretty good. You have already taken the first step by changing the class and doing well in the new class. Keep it up, and you will have lots of options in two years when you are applying to colleges.

Try not to obsess about that one grade. That is behind you now - focus on what you are doing this semester. Good luck!

trust me, it definitely won’t reject you on its own-

i actually got a D+ in Honors Algebra 2 my sophomore year for the whole year, not just one semester… and i got in!!!

so if you have a strong application otherwise, i wouldn’t worry too much
