Can SAT II scores offset SAT I individual scores?

HI, I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I was wondering if you took a SAT II in a math or literary section if they can offset not-so-stellar SAT I math or verbal scores. The reason I ask is because I got a 670 in Math, and I want to be admitted to University of Washington Honors program, but knowing that schools like to see you are capable in more than one area, I'd like to demonstrate a higher abililty in math. However I don't wan to retake the WHOLE thing, so what if I took a SAT subject test in math and got a really great score? How would that impact admissions decisions?

i don't think so a good SAT subject score can affect the SAT I test (i can be wrong)
most colleges require SAT i and 2 or 3 SAT subject tests
the best thing you could do is retake the SAT I
plus the SAT I and SAT IIs test different things so it's not really accurate to compare them to each other

actually this is the same scenario for me. And I have heard from very reputable sources that it can. If you can achieve a 700+ on either the Math I or Math II it would offset your weaker score on the SAT I. Its not as good as retaking, but its still good

I was just wondering the same thing-- I got a 680 M on the SAT I, but I got a 790 on math II ( I know, it's not the 800 that sooo many CCers get, but I'm happy with it)... does it count for anything?
