do you guys think SATs can compensate for GPAs?

my UC GPA is around a 4.13
if I get a 2350+ on my SAT1(new one) and 800's on both of my SAT 2's, do you think those will make up for my sub-par GPA?

P.S. does anyone know if uc-berkeley caps weighted classes at 8 semesters? or is there no cap

***?????????????????????????????????????????

you are such a noob, nube, newb.

lol ur post is like my controversial "my counselor is gay does that affect my chances?" thread lol.

since when is a 4.13 UC GPA bad? kidding me. You prolly get ELC with that GPA. well just to answer your question, yes and no. no becauze if you think about SAT can't really cover up GPA. but, a high SAt score will impress them. i guess.

There are enough people with the scores AND the GPA that colleges may very well choose not to take the risk.

That being said, to call a 4.13 low is ridiculous.

ok, low by UCB standards. UCB avg GPA is 4.15 about. however, if its uncapped mine will be a 4.23. i'm hoping to god its not capped. also, if you add in college classes it would be around 4.27(capped) and 4.35(uncapped). i'm just wondering what will happen if somehow it does end up being 4.13 or something and if my SAT scores would make up for that

I just want to know...i thought UC GPAs only count sophmore and junior year, and only certain a-g requirements? how come everyone's always talking about having community college grades included in their UC GPA (like immolate on this thread) ?
