Has anyone ever heard of a high school student getting a research internship with a professor in the humanities/social sciences? I would think that this would be a lot less common given that these fields lack the space of a lab, but this would also make the research more unique and thus an overall better opportunity than a research position in the sciences. Is it at all possible?

I think Clark Scholars lets you do that, but other than that I don’t think there are traditional research programs that lets you do humanities.

However, you could probably personally arrange one with a professor
