Can someone explain this randomness???

<p>Hi All...my son has just gotten all the letters....and it makes no sense to me or him....some stats...3.9+ from a top public Cal HS; 1800+ SATs (he has a slight learning disability that makes standardize tests difficult for him), tennis team, nice community service.</p>

<p>Rejects - Vandy (ED), UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara</p>

<p>W/L - U of Miami, Emory, Pitzer, Lafayette</p>

<p>Accepts - Ursinus, Univ of San Diego, UC Santa Cruz and UC BERKELEY (!?!?)</p>

<p>How does this happen???</p>

<p>Well, I guess we don't have to ask you where he's going??.....I guess the 3.9+ GPA from top CA public meant nothing to the rejects and W/L....who knows, but this does take the cake so far this year.......</p>
