<pre><code> Creativity and critical thinking are values that we heavily regard as some of the most important parts of being able to succeed in the modern world. Without people doing thing there own way, we would not be able to have various inventions such as the the IPhone by Steve Jobs, television shows such as "Phineas and Ferb", or even projects at school. Allowing humans to progress and do things in their own way, can pave the way for gratification and success in the long run.
Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, is a man of greatness, achieving many feats throughout his life time, but sadly passed away in 2012. One of his many achievements is the Iphone, presented in 2007 at an Apple Conference. At the time, cell phones were not the smart phones we know today, but more of flip phones, and with poorly calibrated touch screens. When the Iphone came out, people were awestruck, and had to have one for themselves regardless of the cost. Without Steve Jobs going to his own way of creating Apple and the Iphone, ideas and technology they we use today, might not even happen. When people stick to the norm of creating safe ideas, reusing the ideas over and over again, there is no ingenuity that the human race is famous for throughout history.

<p>Technology is just a small part of the human do things their own way tree, and can be applied even in television. </p>
<pre><code> "Phineas and Ferb" a television show on Disney Channel is a perfect example of people doing things their own way. The creators Dan Povenmire, and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, has struggled to bring about this successful show since the late 90s. The duo were pitching their show to various companies and even Disney had rejected them in the early 2000s. Eventually around 2005 and 2006, that Disney decided to give them a shot at doing the show, and created the episode "Roller Coaster." The pilot was commercially successful and eventually led to 4 seasons of the show. This shows how people doing things their own way leads to success, since if they gave up, like most people do, then the show might have never existed. This shows at how determined people are, and can accomplish through doing things their own way. Even though famous people are able to accomplish such feats, so are people you see in everyday life.
School projects are some of the most boring things to do at school because of the time and effort it takes to produce a project of superior caliber. In the past, working with teams and sticking the what the teacher wants, usually gives a decent grade, but not an A. An A, would require a more thought, which is a way I could do my own thing, and still tie my project into the subject. A prime example would be in my AP World History class, where I was able to create a poster using my imagination, and my teacher gave me an A, while some other students who just followed strictly to the script did not.
People's accomplishments throughout history and daily life can be credited to the fact that people have their own way of doing things which lead to a better life for people everywhere. Struggles that come about this, are a small part of it, but can lead to great accomplishments.
