Can someone help me out?

I am applying as a transfer student to Columbia College... does the office of undergraduate admissions only want one faculty report? On the application website it says "please refrain from sending multiple faculty reports"... does this mean they only want one recommendation? I know it may sound like a stupid question, but I need to be certain before I give my professor all my information...

I am asking this because Cornell's website also says to submit one prof recommendation, but when I called them they said that I could send only one, but it would probably be to my advantage to send two.

If they say they only want one, send one. Columbia hates additional material that adds little or no value to your application. Unless you feel it is absolutely necessary to do so, do not submit what they explicitly tell you not to.
