Can someone please tell me what my chances are of transferring to these schools?

Hi, I'm currently a freshman at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, but I'm thinking about transferring to a different school. I'm leaning towards studying Economics, but I'm seeing whether or not I can handle the mathematics required for graduate level economics. Besides economics, I'm thinking about Finance.

The schools I'm thinking about transferring to are: UVA, UNC, UMICH, and Northwestern.

These are my stats:

Expected College GPA: 4.0

3 of my 5 college courses aren't introductory 100 level courses. I'm in courses that sophomores or juniors usually take: Accounting 201, Economic Statistics 202, and French 208 (Critical Reading and Writing)

James Scholar Honor Student (Top 15% of the entering freshman class)

College EC's: Very active in a couple of Social/Cultural Clubs.

High School GPA: 3.93 Unweighted; 4.53 Weighted
Rank: 6/719
SAT Composite: 1310
ACT Composite: 31
9 AP Tests; Five 5s and Four 4s; National AP Scholar
National Merit Commended
National Honor Society
French National Honor Society
Co-French Student of the Year (Senior yr.)

High School EC's:
50+ Service Hours at a hospital
JV Football (Junior yr.)
Debate Team (Senior yr.)
French Club
French Tutor

I'd really appreciate any feedback and any suggestions as to other schools I should look into. Thanks. Good luck to everyone with their finals.

Why didn't you get into those schools in the first place?

By the way, unless you want to get a PhD in economics, you do not need to go too far into mathematics (but finish diff eq/real analysis). Applied statistics (regression/model building/sampling) is more important.

I was put on the waiting list at UNC and Wash U., and I didn't apply to UVA or Northwestern. So it basically came down to UMICH and U of I. I settled for U of I because I'm in-state here, which means I pay around 18,000 compared to around 34,000 at UMICH. But I haven't liked U of I too much, and I've decided that I'm willing to bear the burden of debt to get a better education.

Anyone??????????????

dunno, if youre not liking U of I though, you may not like UNC...both are the same type of schools, IMO, it doesnt matter where the school is, but what type it is...btw im transferring from Mizzou, so were in the same boat...
if you email me, i know the dean of academic advising at UNC
